WHO WE ARE
DJ’s Way is a tax-exempt not-for-profit charity that serves Bucks County, Pennsylvania, lovingly named after our dog DJ.
The goal of the organization is to provide assistance
to families who do not have the means to afford surgery
or services required to help their dogs.
The only way for us to make a difference is with your help!

WHAT WE DO
Our services include monetary assistance for surgery, wheelchairs for dogs who can’t have surgery or who have not responded to surgery, and physical therapy opportunities for dogs who are recovering from surgery. DJ’s Way receives support from private donations, charitable organizations and corporate sponsorships.

A Brighter Future For Your Dog
The mission of DJ’s Way is to alleviate the euthanization of dogs simply because pet owners can’t afford the surgery. This can be done by soliciting funds, partnering with an emergency vet to provide care and aid to paralyzed dogs, as well as providing assistance to dog owners who feel they have nowhere else to turn.

our inspiration
In October 2015, our dog DJ suffered a ruptured disc in his back. Surgery was recommended by a neurologist, with an 80% success rate. Thankfully, our family had the resources to give DJ the surgery he needed. Unfortunately, he was in the 20% for which the surgery didn’t work and he came out of it without the use of his lower limbs. In the months that followed the surgery, we took DJ to physical therapy in the hopes that his nerves could be stimulated. By the time April 2016 rolled around,
6 months post-op, we realized this was our new normal. We bought DJ a wheelchair and accepted that he was paralyzed. Would I do it again? Absolutely! But there are many people who have said they couldn’t spend the money on surgery. This organization was founded in the hopes that no one has to make that difficult decision
